Hell yes our football team does. Which means this is a great chance to change the perception of State being nothing more than a cow college with a cow campus. The colors of tents won't change anything alone, but it does make the Junction look a hell of a lot better when there aren't a ton of Earth tones thrown in between all the Maroon and White. It looks shitty. My friend from Pittsburgh asked my why there were so many multicolored tents, and that pissed me off because it proved that outsiders notice things like that.

I don't think they look great, but I don't think they hurt perception either. Everybody has blue tents at their tailgates....some people can't afford the team colored tents that cost $50 more....and I would rather those people show up with blue tents than to stay at home. Just my opinion.

It's a bye week. Humor me. I use my white tent for things other than football. My angst is strengthened by the fact that we played a team that has blue in their colors this weekend and we had blue tents everywhere.

I agree that it would look great with all maroon and white tents but I'm not sure just who's perception of us we need to change. If we win the national championship there will still be a lot of people in this country that think we are all simple uneducated rednecks. I don't think our choice of tent color is going to change that. If we are worried about someone thinking we are not good football fans I would say all they have to do is watch, on tv or live, a game at our stadium and they will see what kind of fans we are. There have been many articles written about our game day atmosphere this year and I don't remember one mentioning our tent color. I really don't think it is that important of an issue. I'm sure Ole Miss fans will make fun of it but to me that is just another reason not to care about it.

That's my lime green tent at the bottom of the picture. I bought it last minute at Dick's on the way to a canoe trip b/c it was raining. I don't see a problem unless the oregon ducks are coming to town a la 2003.

I've attended State for 6 years & this is the 1st year I've had a tent to call my own. My friends & I have enjoyed the hell out of it, & you can look forward to seeing it on overhead shots of The Junction until the lime green fades to white.
