I don't think the article is that bad at all. We have two very tough road games left on our schedule - at Bama and at Ole Miss in which the odds are against us winning one or both.

Still the numbers give us a 52% chance of going 7-1, and an 18% chance of going undefeated. So a 70% chance that we win one or both of those road games.

I'll take those odds.

The same thing it appears to have done every week already - change to reflect the order of things at that time. It's a model that relies on fluctuating variables, so that's pretty much how it works.

I agree. It's total crap. According to one table, Auburn's highest probability is ending up 5-3 in the SEC yet in another table, they've favored in all but 1 remaining games. That would put them at 6-2. Did somebody from the government make this shit up?

Right, if I'm doing the math right, their numbers should give us a 76.4% chance of winning either game. P(A or B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A and B) = .659 + .308 - 0.202972 = .764. Of course, those same numbers give us only a 20.3% chance of winning both.

How can LSU have a 0.1% chance of going 0-8? They won a conference game.

You are mixing up the preseason numbers with the current ones.
