I've been wondering for quite some time what is the story behind "aGAIN"

My English teacher my Sr year in HS was pronounce it like that when she was tired of explaining something. Always stuck with me. Then I saw someone on Sixpack do it years ago and it made me think of it. I revert to it when I get tired of explaining something- much she did.

You know how people pronounce it "ah-gain"? I'm pretty sure they are just imitating that.
