I said going into the year that we HAD to increase the number of sacks, TFL, and QBH between our main front 7 guys in McKinney, Preston Smith, Chris Jones, Matt Wells, Benny Brow, Eulls, PJ, and Jefferson/Brown. Check out the comparison between last year and this year between these 9 guys:
2013 season stats - 14 sacks, 42 TFL, 37 QBH
2014 season stats THROUGH 6 GAMES - 16.5 sacks, 29 TFL, 31 QBH
So we have already eclipsed our sack total between those 9 guys this year through 6 total games and are well on our way to get past those TFL and QBH from 2013.
We knew our defense would be better, but how much better? The stats don't lie folks. Our front 7 is absolutely getting after it. Our defense as a whole had 20 sacks last year. We've already got 21 as a team for the year. Very impressive at the leap forward these guys have made and it clearly shows on the field.
