Listening to sports radio today I have heard several callers that have cracked me up.

Over the past few weeks, the national media has started to point out Dan Mullen's ability to "develop" players-- most of whom talk about how our coaching staff has recruited 2 and 3-star players and has turned them into 4 and 5-star talent. To me this speaks volumes to how great of a coach he is. Of course a lot of it has to do with finding the "right" kid with the "right" attitude and the potential to succeed at MSU in Mullen's system.

Now the Rebels are coming out of the woodwork with the same storyline! It's hilarious to have endured the claims of how great their recruiting classes have been for the past few years. That's all they have talked about. Now they are talking about how their team is filled with 2 and 3-star talent and how Freeze gets more out of his players than anyone else in the country.

Once again, TSUN suffers from "me too, me too!"

Yep, that #3 crootin' class has nothing to do with it.

I just heard that call. How f*cking pitiful and delusional is the OM fan base? They flaunt recruiting championships up and down message boards, radio shows and bow tie runway sessions, but then attempt to flaunt coaching up 2-3 star guys today. What a joke those asshats are. Herbstreit didn't sound very sold on them finishing out the season on a high note.

Steve from yazoo City, Ole Miss fan, is saying exactly that right now on Finebaum, though he is saying it's OM, "and MSU might be doing it some too". Then he proceeds to say how both schools have great coaches, "but Mullen may be leaving".

Unreal.

The new company line is that Mullen is leaving for sure and Freeze is staying. They act like Mullen hasn't had the chance to leave already. They also can't decide if he's a good coach or a bad coach or just a bad recruiter.

The ones that "think" he's a bad recruiter want him to stay and the ones that realize what he is actually doing want him gone so bad that they are running around telling everyone that he will be gone.

I don't normally nit pick everything Freeze says, it is called Coach Speak after all, but after the aTm game he strained to try to convince the reporter the team just had some sort of 'it' factor going on. I'm not saying they don't but man it looked like he was really straining to come up with some sort of hook for the reporter.

Maybe he just talks like that, kind of weird drawl.

Please find the quote of Freezus being quoted as needing to recruit better- it was after Boise

those Asshats get on their private boards- establish talking points- and then spread out like roaches to push that talking point all over. They are "Spin Specialists"

Freeze said it while addressing the team after the Egg Bowl. It's on "The Season" or whatever they called it. It's on youtube.

This. He said he needs to recruit better depth to his team right after they lost. Classy guy.

"recruiting better" was one of the first things he mentioned in the post game interview after beating alabama. while he was still on the field with his players. sad, really.
