Prior to November 29th:
Alabama wins out (meaning Mississippi State loses)
Auburn wins out (meaning Ole Miss loses)
MSU wins all the other games
Ole Miss wins all the other games
Scenario:
Alabama (10-1) plays host to Auburn (10-1)
Ole Miss (10-1) plays host to MSU (10-1)
Ole Miss wins, has to cheer for Alabama
Alabama wins, has to cheer for MSU
MSU wins, has to cheer for Auburn
Auburn wins, has to cheer for Ole Miss
How crazy would the 29th be? And, what would be better - to play the first game, and be unaware of the outcome of the second game, or know what you're playing for before the other game ends?
(Because I seriously doubt they would have them kick off at the same time - though that would be awesome to flip back and forth between)
Fans would have to be solidly invested (not just passing interest) in games outside of their own. A lot like the old bowl game days where #2 might be playing #5 and #1 was playing #7. Go #7!!
