Auburn 2-0 5-0
Ole Miss 2-0 5-0
Mississippi State 2-0 5-0
Texas A&M 2-1 5-1
Alabama 1-1 4-1
LSU 0-2 4-2
Arkansas 0-2 3-2
The winner of Saturday?s game is not only leading the race for the west but starting to get some separation from the rest of the field. Out of the six other west teams, you can pretty safely eliminate LSU and Arkansas from consideration. Both already have two losses and we have already beaten LSU which means we would have to lose at least 3 of our remaining 6 SEC games for them to pass us. You also have to think Arkansas will lose additional games in conference. That leaves Auburn, TSUN, A&M, and Alabama. Of those, A&M and Alabama already have one conference loss and we own the tie breaker over A&M. A&M probably loses again as does Alabama. That leaves Auburn and TSUN. I still think TUSN crashes back to earth and I think that starts this week. They shocked me beating Alabama but I don?t expect to be shocked again. I still say they are good for 3 conference losses this season with one being to us. Auburn then becomes the key. If we can beat them then we own the tiebreaker over them which would then allow us to lose another game in conference and still win the west. Not sure if Auburn loses two in conference this year but if they did then the west is pretty much ours barring key injuries.
