I know we have our fans (many on this site) who like to talk about recruiting stars and how we haven't been recruiting well. Hopefully our success this year so far will put a stop to most of that. I've always felt that # of stars on recruits is overblown, and that many recruits get those star ratings more because of who is recruiting them than because of their true talent level. Hopefully this is a lesson to all of us...when that four star recruit flips to Ole Miss, or we finish in the low 20s in recruiting rankings...all of that is meaningless. Two classes that ranked in the high 30s and low 40s are currently leading this team - maybe the best team in Mississippi State history.
This is not a situation where a group of kids are suddenly seniors and we're a one-year wonder. This is a system and a process, and it is working very efficiently. So, whether we get Leo Lewis or not, let's not freak out. Let's enjoy the process. Those guys can be part of it, or they can go somewhere else, and hopefully they won't take the asswhippings personally.
