I don't mind selling for half the current going rate just don't want an auburn fan buying.

Seems dirty to me.

Get out of here with that crap... Anything more than $100 is BS...

quickstrike2

That's ridiculous, acting like your doing somebody a favor by selling for half the going rate (notice on stub hub they are for sale, not sold) just to keep it out of an Auburn's fan hands. I doubt you get any takers, but I have been wrong before.

Yep I've been looking for 2 tickets for $100 each for my wife and I. We usually go to all the games with family, but the whole family is going so we are looking for 2. All state fans I've asked are selling theirs for around $300 each and on a teacher's salary that just isn't possible.

Damn, why all the hate for someone trying to get the going rate for a ticket?

im just gonna flat out tell ya, there are some good bulldogs on this message board and then there are some that are not. I don't mind telling you that mine are coming from someone on this board and they just simply messaged me and offered them to me for FACE VALUE... Now that's TRUE MAROON!

i will say this, that by the time you factor in donation and ticket price, the true expense is actually closer to 150.00, at least for my seats, so i can see asking that for decent seats....anything above that is just price gouging and you should be ashamed

What they say about opinions.

Y'all need to step back into reality, I was selling it cheap. I certainly didn't whine this much forking over what it takes to get tickets like these from the athletics department. Damn.

I agree with you. Don't see how anybody can say you did something wrong. A lot of people have given themselves lifetime judicial appointments, so I guess they're doing their job when they're judging.

Earlier post I meant to say "opinions and anatomy" but didn't finish the "thought".

Y'all dig on this. It costs me ~3000 for the "right" to purchase tickets. Then, the ooc games are 50+ each, sec 75ish and AU, Ut higher. Seccg & NC game 3-4x that.

So, effectively, with the less desired games removed, my outlay is about 500-1000 a game.

Should I ask FV?

Homedawg

Some of y'all need to chill out. If you think his asking price is too high, get some elsewhere. Nobody is holding a gun to your head. If he were asking too much they wouldn't have sold. It's called supply and demand. Get a freaking grip. This isn't the damn government and a welfare program. Cry to someone else w all this bs.

For the record, I didn't have a problem w the asking price. I just assumed selling one individual ticket for that would be tough. I'm not laying 300 out there for a ticket but if others do, make the money.

After thinking about it, if someone is willing to pay that much then there is nothing wrong with it. I could see $150 for this ticket, huge game. Glad a bulldog got the seat.

I don't really care what you do with your ticket. This is just something I would never do to another good dawg fan

My opinion is just because you can sell a gallon of gas for $50 after Katrina doesn't mean you should. It is your ticket. You can do what you want with it. That said, it is a dick move. One, it is a ridiculous price and two, pocketing an extra $200 isnt changing anyone on here's life. Just makes you look like a dick.

Ok... well what if the Athletic Dept decided they were going to give away ALL tickets for free. Obviously, demand would be much greater than supply. And what if YOU were one of the people who couldn't get a ticket, even though you were willing to pay a nice price? I bet in that case, you'd wish that the prices for tickets would have been a little higher.

Price goes up with demand. It isn't about morality.

Comparing selling a ticket over face and gauging after Katrina is laughable. Truly.

Ill keep this thread in mind the next time we play UAB, it is 100 degrees and the school is charging $4 a water for profit. Looooong threads about that on this site. Sure was a lot of bitching.

Sadly, I've seen $4 a bottle posted many times on this board in that thread.

Reading the thread on 247 people are paying these prices. I just hope and pray that they are going to State fans. Hopefully we are smart enough not to sell away homefield advantage.

So if I am understanding you correctly, you are saying that jacking up the price of a product that is essential to survival in the midst of a natural disaster is equivalent to jacking up the price of a ticket to a sporting event.....that is without a doubt the dumbest argument I have ever heard.
