Anyone tried to stream WatchESPN or anything in the Junction? Thinking about going this route instead of worrying about a satellite dish.

Not while there is 60,000 plus people around. It won't happen. The cell towers are overloaded and data streams are non existent. Most of the time you can't even send a text.

At least that is my experience on AT&T.

I have Verizon and have no issue texting, cruising Facebook, or browsing the web, but I have not tried streaming.

Doubt it will work well this weekend for the same reasons joedog mentioned.

Campus wi-Fi nodes don't stretch very far into the Junction. Even if it did, the amount of media and such using the wifi would slow down the bandwidth enough to prevent you from streaming anything of quality.

That is very risky. Probably something you should try against T-Martin or another team of their caliber. No way would I do that for the biggest game of the season.

Alright, well does anyone know of a way to rent a Dish/DirecTV setup?

Are you just needing a dish or are you needing a receiver too? If it is just a dish, i suggest going to an apartment complex and asking if you can get one not being used.
