Looks like Mullins got his spot. They're the same player physically. MSU didn't take Mullins early because I think they wanted to see how he did academically and he's done well enough to reserve a spot. MSU will still bring in Bates for an OV I'm sure because he is a great talent. It's kind of interesting that a physical freak from LA didn't get an LSU offer and then MSU and A&M seemed to cool a bit and then he commits to ASU which is a long way away. His recruitment has been interesting.

I agree - seemed like he was a top target of ours and a few other SEC schools and then ASU of all places. Not sure if he has any ties there or not and granted it's a beautiful place but was a very odd recruitment.
