Friend at game said it happened. That's horrible if true.

Heard of one injured. Apparently Baptist hasn't confirmed anything, yet.

I posted this in an earlier thread.

On my drive home through Alabama commentators for the game said some students were hurt when they tore the goal post down. Said they were watching the EMTs put a student on a backboard.

Horrible. Just horrible. I hope this is not true.

Unfortunately you could see this coming from a mile away. I've never seen such a poorly executed goal post tear down. I really hope everyone is ok.

There is a pic floating around on Twitter of someone being taken off on a stretcher amid the celebration. Have not heard it was fatal or how something like that would even get out.

thy have to put the break away FGs in every sec stadium. we'll spend millions on more seats and club level, but won't spend a few bucks on a safety measure.

Hope this isn't true, but regardless they should start taking proper precautions. It's way over due. Instead, their administration is tweeting at the students asking for money.

Do the Bears not have breakaway goal posts that can be taken down right after the games?

They will have to install the collapsible goalpost now. It will be a good thing because just maybe they will finally understand the goalpost do not get "torn down" after every MSU game.

If someone died, then Bjork needs to be fired immediately for negligence. He not only allowed but orchestrated this shit, not once but twice.

of the injury but yeah they know the rules and didn't enforce it then went as far as saying, "we'll pay the fine".......Complete and utter negligence and if there was a fatality all their lawyers won't be able to weasel them out of it.......
