We are keeping him warm. He isn't coming in this weekend because we aren't ready to take him.

Not exactly true. He wants to visit this weekend but wouldn't be able to leave his home til 7 or 8 so he wouldn't get here before the game started. They want him to wait til next weekend so he can have a full OV experience. We'll see if he pushes his decision back. If he does that will tell you what he thinks of us. This keeping warm talk is a little misguided.

That's what Steve said and I don't think that is correct. The reason he isn't coming in for an OV is b/c it's an 11am game and he lives 6 hours away. We'll bring him in later for his OV. He is a take.

According to PJ, Bates will be a possible 3yr and done player and get drafted early. He's a definite take.

With our luck we will probably end up with an 11:00 Auburn kickoff as well.

he's absolutely a take. we need him to delay his decision date again also. if he keeps it Oct. 7, he most likely picks ASU.

From what I understand, MSU would still bring him in for an OV and try to flip. Sound right?

yeah, we would obviously keep recruiting him but if he doesn't change his announcement date then I would think he picks ASU on the 7th.

I believe Bates still shows up for this game. I don't think he wants to postpone any longer. I really want him to commit to us.

Also to note, Daron Payne will be visiting this weekend with Keith Mixon. And he will be coming the following weekend for the Auburn game. This would be the pick up of the century for us.

read something yesterday from Talty where Payne said Mixon is recruiting him to State every single day. Talty asked him if it was working and Payne said "Its getting real Close" or something to that effect.

You won't see Bates this week it's not happening. Hopefully he'll take the trip next week.

Mixon has no pull when it comes to Payne. His decision will come down to what momma wants.... and she's an Auburn fan
