I always thought the chandeliers in tents was just a joke. Apparently not. Just saw gameday commercial with one in it.

I went one or so a year when I was growing up.. I don't recall ever seeing one in person. I had never heard of it until a few years ago.

I saw a UM RV down in the parking lot at the Vet in Jackson at an Egg Bowl. There was a butler in a gold velvet jacket setting up the tailgate outside. No joke.

I went to a bunch of the "double headers" back in the 70's, and though I don't remember chandeliers, I do remember many UMiss tailgates with dressed servants.

The chandeliers are real things in the grove. That's why I and others continue to make fun of them.

I can vouche for the chandeliers.

It has been a long while, but it was like one tent.

Been before. It's a good time, but nothing to freak out about. It's a good, SEC tailgate and nothing more. We also have a good SEC tailgate. Lsu had a pretty good SEC tailgate. It's nothing special. All that chandelier stuff is just silly though.

I guess they think it makes them look more sophisticated, prestigious or whatever.

Classy. That's the word your looking for. Just ask them.

having fans not being falling down drunk (or on syrup) while racial slurs on video would probably help more in that regard.
