That's a product of the "strike outs aren't bad" school of thought that has become prevalent in the game.

I think this Royals team has more power and those Cardinals teams had even more speed and ran even more.

The Cardinals lack of power used to drive me nuts in the late 80's.

I liked LaRussa's Cardinals much, much better. And I know people have seen me say it before- I like a balanced line up. Some guys with speed and some with power.
