I'm an out of state student so I'm kind of out of the loop on this... I've heard from some of the mississippi guys that starkville high may have one of the top teams in the country this year. I know they went and beat one of the top teams in Alabama. Do any of you guys know? If so I'm going to try and catch a game.

They are ranked #14 in the country, #1 in the state. They are legit.

Yep and they torched Oxford and West Point. Oxford just beat West Point 43-22

Clinton beat Madison Central tonight. Malik Dear has Murrah rolling. Madison Central might be the 4th place team in that region, and they are legit top 10 in the state.

Starkville playing in the 6A title game this year at Davis Wade. That's the opportunity to catch them.

They will play them in the playoffs. And win by 3 TD's. Starkville is the best HS team I've ever seen.

How many of these boys are on our board?

I went to the game tonight but left at the half to eat. They were up 23-0 over Columbus for homecoming.

The WR A.J. Brown (#15) has an offer (2016). I watched them play tonight and the other receiver (#10) looked really good and apparently has a bunch of CUSA type schools looking at him (no idea what year). Their QB Davis is committed to Memphis (2015). He look pretty decent but is not SEC caliber and is fairly small- great HS QB though. Also, their kicker (2016) has some trick shot videos made with getting Mullen's attention in mind, and I'm pretty sure we are looking at him.

They had some beastly defensive ends too.

I saw those videos. The last one I saw was captioned "60 yards off the ground for the doubters" put it right through the middle

They aren't in the same region as South Panola. It will be in the playoffs if they play. It's a shame they aren't in that region with South Panola and Tupelo. When I was at MSU Starkville and Tupelo were two of the top teams in the state and they were in the same division. That game routinely drew nearly 10,000 fans.

Most of what you said is correct, but Brady Davis isn't small.

You must not have seen 2003 South Panola. No fewer than THREE NFL players on that team, plus one other All-SEC player. That game is going to be one hell of a battle, and I give SP the edge until someone actually manages to knock them off.

Starkville will destroy this South Panola team. Biggest difference is in the coaching: Mitchell is probably the best coach in the state while S. Panola runs an offense from the 1970s.

24/7 has him listed as 6'3" 195lbs. Huh. I guess his line must have been massive because he looked small from where I was sitting.

Probably much closer to 6'1" 175 if HS measurables are like they used to be

USA Today has Starkville #26 in the nation right now:

of the top 6a programs in that State. They are legit. They will beat USP, no problem and imo, we should be looking at the QB Brady Davis.

Now this, I absolutely cannot argue with. I've been saying for years that Lance Pogue is a shitty coach and doing wayyyyy less with wayyyyy more at SP.

I'll bet this is more accurate. I was shocked when I read that. I mostly meant that he was skinny.

So Starkville moved up to 6A? There is now a 7A in Alabama is it the same now in the Sip? What's the highest classification.
