Ole Miss plays Alabama in that time frame, UCLA plays Oregon, Notre Dame plays Florida State, so at least three more teams will have a loss, which puts at most 5 undefeated teams in front of us (at most).

Aside from the three winners in those games, Baylor and Oklahoma could still be undefeated and I don't see either losing before then. They do play each other Nov 1 though. I can't see us higher than 3rd in your scenario, and most likely 6th because Ole Miss/Alabama winner, Florida State, Oregon, Baylor, and Oklahoma will all be undefeated still.
