....in terms of football.

I'd say its a upper tier non-BCS game. Like the Cotton Bowl.

So I say this is a damn good season even if we haven't done 100% of our potential.

hosting means you are one of the best 16 teams in the nation in the regular season. We've had a good season and have no doubt squeezed every bit of potential out of this team.

If we make a Super, then this season has been a complete success, Omaha would be overachieving when you factor in how our starting pitching has performed

I don't know how to feel about our pitching. We don't have SP. But our bullpen kicks ass. I guess that is like having Wyatt and Madkin on the QB roster.

Capital One or Cotton Bowl. We are like a 10 win football team. Not quite an 11-1 or 12-0 title contender, but right below it.

... achieve enough to stand eligible to host a regional while having to overcome the 7th hardest schedule in the nation (talking about MSU, of course), then hosting a regional is like winning the freakin' Rose Bowl.
