Trey Derouen
Parkview 2-1 (1-0) after big win against rival Brookwood. Parkview's QB was the Gwinnett Co. Play of the week posting 131 yards rushing and 101 yards passing. It sounds like they run some sort of option game, as their RB ran for over 100 also. Hopefully, everyone of those yards was behind Trey's blocks. This week they face their region OM impersonator - Grayson (3-0, 1-0). Grayson, HS home of the Kimdashians. Grayson will be a tough test, and the favorite to win the region and is sitting at #4 in the state. Pull off a win here, and Parkview gains an inside track to the region title. A tough road test - just like our Dawgs this week.
Kentavious Thomas
Thomas and the Baldwin Braves are coming off a storm shortened loss against Tift Co. during which their offense was completely shut down. The results are pretty typical of a 4A team playing a 6A team - basically the equivalent of Alcorn vs. MSU. Kentavious and the Braves look to bounce back this week, but travel to Thomasville (0-3 in 2A). Thomasville has been shutout in their last two losses (granted one of those was against state legend Valdosta). This will be the last non-region match up for the Braves.
I'll be out of pocket most of Friday night, so in-game updates will be unlikely. I'll try to do a post game recap late tonight.
