It could be a major turning point for our program and send us to uncharted territory

It could be. I'd still rank the '98 Arkansas win bigger though

Agree - getting to Atlanta is the goal every season, and until you top that, it is the greatest day.

Nailed it. The only thing bigger than '98 Arkansas would be winning in Atlanta.

No. If we win we're ranked and 1-0 in the SEC.

us running out of the tunnel in the SEC Championship Game is the greatest moment of my lifetime as a fan. Beating #1 Alabama was 2nd. Beating Ole Missus for the 3rd time in a row for the first time 70 years was 3rd

I've been saying all week tomorrow can be the turning point for us as a program.

I agree about the 98 Ark win. If we have a great year but don't make it to Atlanta but end up in a "BCS" type game and win would that be the greatest win? I can't remember what games are the playoffs and National title game but if we win the Sugar Bowl, how does that stack up?

Sugar and Rose are playoff games this year I believe.

So if we won the Orange Bowl or Fiesta? How would that stack up with greatest wins in your mind? For me it would be another step in the right direction similar to what South Carolina has done.

I just feel like it can be a turning point that will lead to amazing things

No, but a win could eventually lead to something like that.

Winning in death valley is something that has not occurred during the lifetime of almost all the players on our team, so it could be very special

This. It would/could be the beginning of something great and memorable. If we can win tomorrow, the boost it will give this team will be off the charts and will give them the confidence to potentially create some great moments. Getting to and winning in ATL would have to be the pinnacle.

A win tomorrow will be the most significant win in the Mullen era. It will affect recruiting, fan base and player confidence, and will put is squarely in the driver's seat for the SEC West.

Just a #Ratt opinion here, but beating LSU now will be no bigger than beating Alabama in 1996.

Good point #Ratt. It was a huge deal at the moment but quickly overshadowed by many other even bigger moments.

We've had big wins like this in the past, but a win here would indicate the upward progression within the conference and in the nation that we've anticipated. It compares to the late 90's before the JUCO mistakes and the NCAA Bull****. I felt like we were on our way to bigger and better things. My best comparison at the time would have been the Virginia Tech program, which was winning on incredible defense and special teams.

It's really difficult to climb that hill. But a win tomorrow would be a good start. It's damn hard to win in Death Valley, I don't care who you are.

I dunno - I say #3 might be either the crushing win over Michigan in the Gator Bowl or the '96 win over Bama.

It will be looked at that way. But only inthe future looking backwards. This game will be the turning point.

Oh, come on guys. You all know that this is a down year for LSU. They're breaking in a new quarterback and the they've lost a ton of players to the NFL. Sure, they're ranked in the top 10 now, but if we beat them they'll only be in the top 15. After all, we only beat "power" teams when they are down.************

It will be the greatest day in MSU football in a long time at least.

Meh. Beating LShoo should be a snap. They're re-building, while we're ready to make our SEC Championship run. The Mississippi State will dominate from the opening whistle.
