ESPN is on campus taking a tour and doing interviews right now. Nowhere in that status did it infer that we were wearing those this weekend. LSU almost always wears white on Saturday night in DV -- it's their "home" uni.

We aren't wearing white. LSU wears white at home. I think it would be awesome to wear the ones we wore against USM (since that's pretty much what we wore last time we beat LSU)

Also the numbers on those mannequins are #91 and #15. Probably are used to display the offensive and defensive players of the week from the prior week, not the uniform we will wear the next week

Doesn't the visiting team have to give permission for the home team to wear white? I always thought it was a bit ridiculous to give that permission to LSU since it's one of their traditions and fires up the coon asses even more.

They wear purple for non-SEC home games. Only reason I know is because I remember when they changed it, seems like the mid-90s.

I know the permission thing used to be the case. It's pretty much a gentlemen's agreement thing to respect the home team and not interfere with this though. HOWEVER, we should make them wear purple every time they come to Starkpatch. If they won't, well, they can wear purple the next year when we come to Tiger Stadium then can't they? Heheh

Its a superstition thing to them. They don't wear Purple Jerseys in SEC home games unless it is the first home game of the year (which we are not). They wear white otherwise.
