Don't look now but that stable of running backs is having some injury concerns already.

One of the backs, Wilkins, has a history of knee injuries. Uh oh...

Doesn't matter, they can't run the ball anyway. Not sure how this hurts them.

It makes them even more one dimensional. Sure they're ranked in the 90s in rushing, but Wilkins is their only big back. I suppose they will have to call more 3rd and Liggins plays.

Article says Mathers (toe) and Wilkins (knee) had to undergo testing and will definitely be out of practice for the next while. Freeze said something along the lines of,"it's always an anxious time waiting on test results."

Those two injuries can be especially hard on running backs, especially if there is a history of injuries.

This is like arkansas having a couple of WR's banged up. Who gives a shit. They can't run it. And when they can it's a home run ball. They have no workhorse and nobody to lean on. they'll dismantle Memphis no matter those running backs. After that then we get to see what's up, running backs or not. You are not going to hit home runs with the running game against Bama no matter who is healthy and who is hurt. You may do it the WR's they have but not with any RB's they, or anybody else have. What sucks is we have to take our exam now and they lay around till Oct 4th.

Wowi they are really bad at running the ball

Mathers led Ole Miss in rushing last season and is second on the team right now with 94 yards. He had a 56-yard touchdown run against the Ragin' Cajuns, but his other 16 carries this season have gained 38 yards (a 2.38 yards per carry average).
