Would a win Saturday nite bring as much, more, or not as much joy as the 96 win over bama?

I do believe this would be a bigger win because it could lead to a great season but I remember the unabashed elation I felt jumpin around my parents livin room as a kid when we pulled of that win in 96. Of course, I wasn't alive in 80 so can't make a comparison to that.

Yes.

The 96 win salvaged the end of what was another disastrous JWS season that still didn't see us go bowling. But it signified the start of the real JLD era.

This win would be a bigger deal overall because it would remove us from pretenders and put us squarely in a contenders category.

Oh absolutely. I'm tired of hearing about how long it has been since we beat the stinking corn dogs. Plus, we would (hopefully) be given some respect by the media.
