Saban is basically the only defensive minded head coach that is having success in the SEC.

The defensive talent in the South allows most SEC teams to have a good defense without getting cute. Therefore, the real creativity and personality of the team needs to come from the offensive side of the football. I believe offensive head coaches are better in this league.
