View Full Version : Any chance of Mason getting shit-canned if they lose at home to F**ckin Umass?

I would say he'd definitely be fired by the end of the season, but I'd put the odds of him getting fired after this nuclear meltdown at 30%.

They won't fire him this early, but they've probably made their mind to fire him after season

They won't fire him that early but you have to think he would be given notice that it's coming unless something drastic happens. You lose this game and your only realistic chances of winning a game are Georgia Southern and Old Dominion. You go 3-9 in a rebuild year at Vandy and you keep your job. You go 2-10 or worse and you probably won't be asked to stay.

They should fire him rite now. It is painfully obvious that he hasn't a clue. I hate to say it but he has turned out to be exactly what I thought he'd be the very first time I heard him speak. Not a head coach...

Georgia Southern can beat Vandy. I think Mason may be looking at 1-11

I doubt they fire him. Dude can't win though. It's painful to watch.

How responsible for Stanford's defense was this guy?

I'm just saying those two would be their only legit chances of winning a game. They absolutely could lose to Ga Southern though like you said. Vandy is rebuilding but there is zero reason they should be losing to UMASS at home. It would be virtually impossible to save your job after a loss like that.

No doubt Met. I think if they lose today - which looks probable - they give up.

They should fire whoever hired him at the same time. No way this guy was a good interview. Every time he opens his mouth or makes an expression...it screams "deer in headlights".

Franklin was/is a really good coach.

And not to thread jack this - but watch GSU this year. They may make the best transition from FCS to FBS ever. FCS teams usually suffer from building up from 65 to 85 scholly players - and spend the first 2-3 years with bad depth. But, because of the HOPE program in Ga, they have been getting some guys that chose to stay instate to be closer to home. As I type, they cut GT's lead to 30-35

They can thank their win against Florida too. That had to do wonders for them in terms of perception as they transitioned too. They have the chance to really build a solid sports program at Ga Southern.

Georgia Southern has always been a strong program. And they will roll the hell out of this Busch League crap Mason is leading. I've gone beyond feeling bad for Vandy. They have the power to fire him, of they don't then to hell with them.

(how great is it to get a week off before the Egg Bowl though?)

And with 6 Nattys, strong traditions built by Erk, an almost brand new campus (compared to the $!!thole it was in the 80s when I went to baseball camps there), and 21,000 students, they will knock some heads in the Sun Belt

He will survive the year, but no way they keep him for another year. Wish they would though. We have them next year too, right?

And with Vandy down by 11 starting the 4th.... GA South. takes the lead against the North Ave. Trade School. Vandy's 2 wins look less and less likely

I parlayed Georgia Southern, ULL, and MSU today for a very small amount. So far, Ga Southern is doing their part.

they have to go for two and they were denied. Should only be down by 3 but now it's 5. They've scored 5 td's this year. 2 by the defense, 1 by the special teams and only two by the offense. Wretched.

Yes!!! Vandy takes the lead! One more year! One more year!
