My favorite Jack story...

He told me about listening to State on the radio when he was younger and we were playing Kentucky in Rupp Arena. It was one of those nights of course with SEC officials- and State was getting mauled by Kentucky's karate-chop D. Jack had finally gotten fed up- and thought we had cut away to commercial- but while it got quiet- the commercial never started.

Suddenly out of nowhere you hear Jack holler "blow your god damn whistle!!!!!"....cue an Iupe's commercial 2 seconds later

I know a highway patrolman that used to drive Jack to away games. He said that he had never heard an old man cuss like jack.

I remember an away game years ago like that. I had a buddy there. At one point during the game jack stopped talking and jim took over for a minute. I asked my buddy what happened. He told me Jack took of his headset and was screaming at the ref.
