We played Troy a few years ago. And damn near lost. South Alabam is treating this like the freakin Super Bowl....I sure hope Dan knows what he's getting in to. You come in with last week's game plan, we walk out there with an embarrassing, season ending, loss.

I don't mind getting Damian in for some reps and experience. But stop doing it right after we drive down the field and score in 3 or 4 plays. If Dak has a bad couple drives, then yes bring him in so Dak can sit on the sidelines and go over the photos and talk with the OC about what is going on. This switching right after a score is killing us

Again, my initial point in this thread. With our expanding monetary resources, we need to do like the rest of the SEC and stop going to Troy, South Alabama, etc. These teams rarely host power conference teams and go insane -- especially an SEC team. You're walking into a hornet's nest, especially if you don't take the game seriously.

I really hope that the UAB was a little bit of an eye opener to the players and coaches because South Alabama isn't a bad team and they are going to be fired up for this game. We can't come out there and be cute like we always do against conference teams and keep it close for no reason.

I am all for Damian and some young guys playing, but no until the game is put away.

I hate games like this because it is a typical trap game. Hell Brandon Bridge had an 80 yard td run against us when he played at Alcorn in 2010.

I don't like scheduling games at these places (like Troy and South Alabama) that rarely if ever have an SEC type school come there because you do get into these deals where they are all hyped up whereas your guys don't even want to be there. Never liked scheduling this game.

Yeah, it's a lose/lose. Much like our opener vs USM next season. No benefit in winning...only bad can come of it
