Growing up I don't remember a Saturday in the fall that didn't include Jack Cristal. Fans would wear headsets at the games so they could watch the game and listen to Jack call the plays. The man saw the lows of lows of and the highest of highs of MSU.

I enjoy hearing about his distinct voice and famous "Jackisms" as much as anybody but its also nice to hear people give credit to how he called the games. I dont think any radio guy ever put the listener closer to the stadium than Jack. before the snap you knew where all 22 players were. I know many are not old enough to remember his broadcasts from the 70's 80's but they were the best that were ever delivered.
