• Mississippi State’s streak of 10-straight quarters at home without allowing an offensive touchdown ended in the second quarter.
• Preston Smith’s 21-yard return for a score in the first half was MSU’s first interception returned for a touchdown since Jamerson Love returned a
pick 70 yards for a touchdown vs. Troy on Sept. 21, 2013.
• Kivon Coman’s blocked punt in the third quarter was MSU’s first since Darius Slay blocked a punt in the 2012 season opener against Jackson
State.
• Mississippi State’s school-record sellout streak of 31-straight games came to an end with an attendance of 57,704.
• The 47 points scored by MSU were the most by either team in the series dating back to its inception in 2004.
• State’s defense has forced 18 turnovers in its last seven games.
• The Bulldogs improved to 5-1 all-time vs. UAB.

• Maxwell Award watch list QB Dak Prescott became the first player in school history to throw for at least four touchdowns and rush for at least
100 yards in the same game.
• Prescott became the first Dan Mullen-coached quarterback since Tim Tebow in 2008 and the first MSU signal caller since at least 1989 to account
for four-plus touchdowns in three-straight games (Box Scores not available prior to 1990).
• Prescott, also a Davey O’Brien Award candidate, is also the first MSU QB since at least 1989 to pass for three-plus touchdowns in three-straight
games.
• Prescott moved into a tie for sixth all-time with Derrick Taite (40, 1993-96) for touchdowns responsible for.
• Prescott’s four touchdown passes gives him 22 for his career, passing John Bond (18, 1980-83) for 10th all-time at Mississippi State.
• Bednarik Award candidate Benardrick McKinney tallied a career-high 3.5 tackles for loss.
• McKinney’s 3.5 tackles for loss were the most since All-American Fletcher Cox had 3.5 at Kentucky on Oct. 29, 2011.
• McKinney, also a candidate for the Butkus Award, registered 12 tackles, his most since tallying 14 vs. Texas A&M on Nov. 3, 2012.
• Doak Walker Award candidate Josh Robinson tallied his second-career 100-yard rushing game (2013 Arkansas) with a career-high 124 yards on

• Sophomore tight end Gus Walley made his collegiate debut, finishing with two receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown.
• True freshman Jamoral Graham made his collegiate debut, finishing with two punt returns for 22 yards.
• The 68-yard touchdown pass from Prescott to senior wide receiver Robert Johnson on the opening drive marked a career-long pass for Prescott
and a career-long reception for Johnson.
• Senior running back Nick Griffin earned his second career start (Nov. 10, 2012 at LSU).
• Reigning SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week Preston Smith recorded his first career touchdown thanks to his second interception in as many
weeks.
• Junior defensive back Will Redmond had a career-high six tackles.
• Senior defensive lineman Curtis Virges tallied a career-best five tackles.
• Sophomore linebacker Beniquez Brown recorded a career-high 2.5 tackles for loss.
• Junior cornerback Taveze Calhoun registered a career-best 1.5 tackles for loss.
