Mullen subbing in D.Will way too early. It took forever to get some fluidity on offense because of it. 3 bombs for UAB are the source of their scoring, mostly. Redmond hasn't done his part there. I have nothing but bad words for the PAT kickers.

The bolded is what people are missing. Our offense has still put up 40 points (7 were defensive). But the full personnel changes on defense have been what have made this game close. I hope we don't continue doing that in SEC play because our DL may be 1B, but there is a clear drop off at LB and DB.

After UAB took the lead 20-19 (after 2 missed XP's), Mullen decided to get serious and put Dak Prescott in. Prescott pretty much won this game for us. In my mind, he's just put himself into Heisman contention.

I don't care what team it was. An elite sec defense does not give up 548 yards to a bad CUSA team...First team or second. You think bama's second team would have looked that bad? And Taveze got burned his share today. Last I checked he's a starter. We flat out sucked today. No way to spin that. Can it be fixed? Maybe. I hope so. But we had NO defensive positives today. And I won't even talk about the times UAB dropped balls that would have continued drives.
