Let me know what you guys think and feel free to add your own keys.

I agree about tackling. However, I thought we didn't tackle that well last weekend. Saw a lot of missed tackles.

I also think the run/pass ratio was skewed due to competition and 2nd teamers. We will run the ball 65-70% of the time against better teams. The heavy passing right now is just for reps and work IMO.

Good write up

1) Dominate upfront on both sides of the ball. I want to see our o-line have a better performance then last week and our d-line continue what they have been doing. If we stop there rushing attack, there finished.

2) Pound the ball down there throats. I want to see plenty of a inside rushing attack against there somewhat small front 7.

3) Perfect Playaction execution In the first quarter alone last week, We ran 3 beautiful playaction passes (Only one was successful) I want to see that percentage better.

4) Special Teams Play!!!! Big one here. Last week I would grade our special teams with about a D+. If they can get somewhere close to a B, I will be somewhat happy.

I agree with this. I'd just like to see us do it against the smaller teams, too, and wear them down more quickly. Plus, I'm guessing we're trying to pad the passing stats against these teams since we know we'll be running it a lot more in conference play.

1. Not too worried about that. Our OL will get better, and Day won't play that badly again this season. Just hope we see more Clayborn this week.

2. Agree.

3. That's part of what I was getting at with More Explosive Plays. Pound the rock, then burn them with play action.

4. Agree. The only thins we're doing well are punt and covering punts & kickoff. Gotta improve.

Nice read. Only thing I'd say is we scored 5 of our touchdowns on 20+ yd scoring plays. I agree we need more big chunk plays in the middle of the field, but we had a handful of those as well

1. Run the ball. We need to better utilize our RB personnel, but this has been Mullen's only major flaw since he's been here. Last week, Holloway had 6 carries which is 3 too many. More specifically, our big 3, like you mention should get 95+% of the non-Dak carries. Robinson needs 50 carries on the year going into LSU. He only had 14 last week. Also, I'm still convinced Dak left some big plays out there by not pitching...especially to JRob at the goal line.

6. We need to go with one kicker each of the next two games and have them kick some FGs. I'd like to see Sobiesk get 2+ attempts this week. If he does good, then have him be the guy going forward. If not, give the other guy next week. I also think Gabe Myles need to be the holder replacing Dak on FGs.

7. Holloway needs to be on KR.

Holloway getting that many carries was a byproduct of Shump being suspended. Otherwise, he's the 4th RB and gets the walk-on carries. I'd be shocked if he touches the ball offensively more than twice a game in SEC play.

Heck with that, let the Ks duel it out in games. I still say we could find someone better by holding open tryouts, though.

No way. Holloway is a fast player with very few football skills. He's a slot WR with worse hands than Morrow and a return specialist who can't catch the ball cleanly. He's certainly got the speed and moves, but I'll never trust him to catch it. Let Redmond, Cox, and Graham get their shots.

agree. that's why I only see KR as an option b/c he has ample time to catch/tuck the ball w/o defenders around. I really don't see where else we use him.
