I had also talked with a Directv tech support rep. earlier today, and she confirmed that the alternate channel 611-1 should be on shortly and would be available for the games on Saturday, as indicated in the above link. I also asked her if this would be broadcast in HD or SD, because I had heard that it may be SD. She checked and she said it would be in HD.

Fox sports south. 646 DTV I think. Either 646 or 649.

I don't really know what it does, because I'm new to DTV, but you can set them up as your team and when you search and browse under sports, you can select your team and it will show you all the upcoming broadcasts.
