Dickerson has mashed 2 bombs today. Just curious why doesn't he ever get any recognition? All the media will praise are the USM kid, Billy Hamilton, Seth Smith, and occasionally Pap. Batting 311 and has 22 bombs. I just hope he wins rookie of the year.

Don't think he qualifies as a rookie. Nearly 70 games played and over 200 ABs last season.

My guess is small market + not a lot of longevity.

Dozier was an All-Star I believe. Hamilton is a very unique talent with his skill set. He has a chance to be an elite base stealer. Smith and Papelbon have both been around for a long time.

A lot of times in baseball you have to earn your stripes.

He's also never been a top tier prospect, so he wasn't known to a lot of fans before he got the call. And the Rockies are one of the worst teams in baseball, so no one has paid attention to them since June.

He really blew up in 2013 when he just killed AAA pitching. One of the best AAA hitters that year.
