Recruiting Rankings:

2011- #99

2012- #108

2013- #90

2014- #113

4-year average- #102.5

Quick Take: There isn?t any other way to put it besides that this is one of the least talented rosters in football. When you look deeper it gets worse. The most talented player they have signed over the last 4 years was a composite 84 3-star and it doesn?t appear that he ever enrolled. Further, the class of 2011, which is now seniors, did not sign a single 3 star player. The highest rated players from that class were 2 composite 78 2-stars and they are no longer on the roster.

I don't think recruiting rankings are very accurate from teams 20-50. I would think the accuracy below that would be extremely inaccurate.

Not saying that uab is better than that. Just saying recruiting guys aren't putting much time studying teams that low

They were pretty awful and on the decline last year. They were nowhere near their 2012 squad that took us to the limit in Troy.

For further reference, the USM 4-year average was #81. We saw how little talent they had. UAB is over 20 spots worse. Unreal

Another fun note: the most talented guy they've signed the last 4 years was former MSU commit DeVante Scott and I don't think he ever made it to campus

Matt Wyatt says UAB has a hot up & coming coach and that they look at lot better this year compared to last.

That's actually covered in my scouting report. The recruiting rankings is just a small part of that.

Yeah that's the juco slot WR that broke his leg or tore something and we got heat for dropping him even though the coaches helped him find another place.

I just don't see how the spread is lower this week than last week. Especially given that their entire offensive strategy plays directly into our strength. This feels like free money, which means I will lose my shirt.

They will probably try and pound the ball which will shorten the game. As long as they don't turn the ball over or give up special teams TD's they will have a good chance of covering.
