Wonder if we could land rankin and Danley. Not sure both would come, but I'd love it

If we sign a JUCO, we will have 6 junior offensive linemen next year. It would show we do not have confidence in the others. I am all for signing JUCO all americans or number 1-3 at their position, but I am not sure anyone we are looking at is a significant upgrade at this time. We were all over signing the guy from Hinds last year. He went to USM and did not start. I really like Rankin, but that is a scholly that cannot go to another HS OL that could have a bigger impact down the road.

I would highly doubt we would spend 2 schollys on JUCO OL. If we are going hard after Rankin its likely because we realize that Danley is leaning heavily to Oklahoma (which I assume he still is since he already almost committed to them). Also, if Rankin can go through Spring, then we may prefer him over Danley anyway.

The part about Danley effecting this recruitment is not correct -- We've been hard after Rankin from the beginning, we just didn't think we had caught all that much traction until recently. We'll take one of the two but not both...

Why wouldn't we take both though since Cooper is not in our numbers for 2015? Not arguing, just trying to make sure I understand the thinking.
