According to this, we are 29th in the preseason poll with 74 points. Now we are 29th with 72 points.. so we actually recieved fewer votes.

I may be looking at the wrong poll / reading it wrong.

Sounds about right. Probably punishing us for looking so poor against Boise in the first half. They'll move OM up though for the 4th quarter dominance vs the broncos*

I had read somewhere.. I think it was on the rant, but anyway they thought everyone in the west but Arkansas would be ranked this week.

You're right. OM moves up to 15th with its impressive showing against Boise.

Not ranked but I'm looking to see how much we moved up.

No way they are the 15th best team in the nation. Let the bears have their little circle jerk over it right now. Like everything else there, it will be short and over before they know it.

There isn't a chance in hell they are the 15th best team in the country. Bama, Auburn, LSU, A&M, MSU, USC, UGA, and Fl are all better than them in their own conference.

Most voters dont watch all the games. They just see the final result. That would be my guess. However, my rebuttal to myself would be that Ole Miss was one of the primetime game Thursday night so a lot of people should have been able to watch it.

I want every team we beat to be overrated so when we beat them we can crow about beating 'ranked teams'. I'm worried Ole Miss won't be ranked by the Egg Bowl. If we give them a toss up for the Egg Bowl the only SECW game they'd be favored in would be against Arkansas.

If they lose the Egg Bowl they will go 3-5 in the SEC this year.
