So this is how the other half lives... SMTTT?

BTW I am in no way insinuating I/we are stadium snobs. I liked Mississippi Southern at one time (before the smack talk), but not this week.

It's a funny thing. I was with the group that picked Dan, Byrne, Stricklin and co up from the airport in Hattiesburg when Mullen was first introduced as head coach.
First stop we made from the airport was at the rock, called gianinni and toured their new end zone expansion. I kinda thought it was curious that they were interested in it, must have been part of coach's deal!

Interesting story. I've thought that our stadium is really just a larger version of their stadium.

Interesting story. I've thought that our stadium is really just a larger version of their stadium.

The the east and west stands are kind of a larger version, but the expansion is different. Theirs is like small stands at the bottom then double decker luxury boxes. I've watched a few games from them and they are nice, but they are smaller than what we have. I was sitting there with my wife and Phil Bryant sat down beside me. He was the LT then. He knew the people I wasa guest of.

They had a thing called the Circle of Champions where you pledged a minimum of 10k a year for 10 years. The people I was with was in that. He went with the AD to interview Fedora when they hired him, and he was in the decision making on the expansion. I think he was on the Board of Directors at southern. He's since passed, but he was all about USM.

We have the nicest stadium in the state now. It will be fun to watch the tight games in the north end zone when it's rockin late in the fourth.
