Simple question.... Are we gonna cover?

If the spread is still 30.5 (it was yesterday), I think we're solid. I know several MSU that have gone the other way but I don't think it makes sense. Here's my reasoning:

1. Mullen will show no mercy. He ran a flea flicker against Rice late in the 3rd quarter when we were up by 34. If we had really wanted to, we could have beaten those guys by 50. They won that conference last year.
2. Home game atmosphere for us is going to have our guys super pumped. Possibly jittery, but even with a slow start I'll be surprised if we're not up by 20+ at half time.
3. I don't think any QB other than Dak or Damian gets reps on Saturday. Our 2s and 3s on offense will continue to put up points, even late in the 2nd half.

Not an odds maker but I like us to cover.

I think we do, but I don't like to bet on lines that wide. We can spank them 45-17 and not cover. 30 is a lot to win by. I think we will, just wouldn't bet on it

The weather is too big a variable if you ask me. I'm staying away from this one.

I think the weather could be a factor. If we get the amount of rain Ref is predicting, then I think we are 70/30 run/pass. This will shorten the game and probably hold down the score. I agree with Dudy, 30 is a big spread.

I think we do cover, but I don't like betting on us with a line that wide. I could see it with Baylor or A&M... They put up points in a hurry... We're just as likely to run the ball 40 straight times until the clock runs out in the second half.

That being said, USM is ****ing awful. I would not be surprised if we beat them by 52... I made a lot of money last year betting against USM, and I see no reason why that would change.

Just don't bet on your own team... Unless you're USM, then you should always bet against your team...
