View Full Version : You guys realize that Boise had 398 yards tonight on that defense, right?

Boise had what essentially was a D2 QB out there tonight and still found a way to rack up almost 400 yards on that defense.

Just curious, how many yards to you think Alabama, MSU, or LSU would have given up to Boise tonight?

Not saying Ole Miss has a bad defense, but it isn't anywhere close to elite for this conference. Boise was able to run the ball and there were open receivers.

Ole Miss had some big hits, but their overall defense was just OK.

Their safties are good and Nkimdiche is good. Other then that, they are okay. They over pursue and if Boise had some more screens and draws to that RB, they would have had a lot more success. Also, if that QB just tucked and ran instead of throwing into coverage, it would have been a different game. But Boise just had a shit QB. They really miss Kellen Moore.

You're right. And if their RB would have gone forward instead of going east-west they should have had an easy TD.

Boise has been very blessed to have QB's that were play makers the past few years. They're a good story, but realistically they can't sustain the success that they've had the past few years.

Also worth noting, TSUN had SEVEN (7!!!) false start penalties tonight. That is awful and will get you beat a lot in the SEC, even without Bo Dirt throwing INTs out like candy. And Freeze blamed the crowd noise for the false starts. That 35K+ of mostly BearSharks must've been damn rowdy.***

I'm surprised at that number. Boise didn't look like they were doing much of anything other than a couple of drives.

There is no doubt that OM has some very talented players on their starting offense and defense. That alone should win them a lot of games. However, they are undisciplined on both sides of the ball and have punks and head cases all over the field. Will be interesting to see if Rev. Freeze can hold that group together. I don't know of anyone in the SEC more likely to underachieve due to attitude and character issues than that bunch.
