Griffin was ahead of Shump going into game one anyway. The rumor is based on him missing a practice very recently.. Like since the depth chart was released.

Salty is a good poster- but this will just have to play out. And even when he plays tonight- we wont delete it. We will just get on Thrill1 for a bad rumor

I hope it is a bad rumor. But isn't that what this board is about, passing along what we believe to be a decent rumor?

I happen to know one of Ashton's close relatives very well. They have made this point that he isn't playing to more than one person in Tupelo. Maybe he and the coaching staff have figured out another form of punishment, maybe it's all crap. Don't act like I'm trying to sabotage him or the team for starting the thread. Just sharing what I know.

Let's say a guy did miss a practice and had a reason. It seems like sitting a game for missing a practice seems extreme to me. Shit at other SEC schools like LSU and Auburn, you can break the law and still not miss a game. Personally, we are a little hesitant to believe your rumor since other rumors have been stated about Shumpert that weren't true. Are you sure this relative has Shump's best interests at heart? I mean really why spread this shit if you are really a relative of someone. Doesn't make sense to me.

I know I don't post as much as a lot of you, but my source was as close as could be. I wouldn't have posted it if I wasn't sure. Hate that it was true. Hopefully it's not that serious and Shump learns his lesson.

Sorry about doubting you here. My bad, I think it was just a one game and Shump will be back against UAB. I'm just sensitive on the rumor mill. Shump sounds like a great and intelligent kid. Looking forward to cheering him on as his career progresses as a Bulldog!

Nope, I wouldn't say that. There's a lot of stuff I don't agree with and just don't post. There's a lot of stuff I agree with and just don't post as well. And I wouldn't say I am sensitive to EVERY post I don't agree with.
