Pretty good. Not as good as my normal Woodford Reserve experience.

EDIT: oh, it's 100 proof

Upon further review...Rowan's Creek tastes good and is really smooth. I would never guess it is 100 proof.

It isn't almost-a-scotch like Woodford is..or Woodford double cask (OMG).

I'm gonna rank this as 1b to my 1a, Woodford Reserve (and other Woodford premiums).

Still haven't had Pappy or any of that legendary shit. Any of you EDs want to bring a bottle of that to Starkville, please PM me!

Picked up a bottle of Evan Williams Single Barrel 2004 last week. Surprisingly good, and affordable. Wont knock the pants off of a real connoisseur, but good enough to share all around.

My go to drink is either a Black Jack or Makers..

I also like to keep some Knob Creek single barrel(120 proof), Bakers(107), and Maker's 46(94) around.

My favorite of all time, but all I have left is an airplane bottle and an empty fifth to remind me of the good ol days. Would you mind sharing your secret location?

if I'm going cheap I'm going Old Charter. If I want to spend a little more, I'm usually going Makers. I'm only using bourbon if I plan on polluting it though. Otherwise, single malt on the rocks.

I bought a bottle of Four Roses small batch Saturday. I was pleased. Had a few glasses with a splash of coke, and then had a few glasses on the rocks. Thought it was good both ways. At $27, it's not so expensive that I feel like I need to drink it straight every time, but it's quality and smoothness allows you to drink it straight if you want.

Love that stuff. For $27 it can't be beat.

I've always heard good things about it, but never picked any up. May have to try some soon.

Evan has some good products. Their 1783 is one of the best bourbons under $20 IMO. That and the low end four roses. Nothing wrong with being a value shopper.

If you're mixing with diet coke you may as well just get Evan Williams

Maker's and water or ginger, then later in the night Beam and Sprite

Bourbon season begins Sept. 1 and ends Feb. 28th for me.

If you like Old Charter, you'd like Buffalo Trace. Very similar.

Picked up a W.L. Weller special reserve in Knoxville last week. Will be tasting that one tomorrow afternoon.
