Are you kidding? Our State has gone to great lengths in marketing to differentiate ourselves from Ole Miss. A stated goal in choosing our current logos and branding was to differentiate ourselves. We chose the banner Mississippi State logo because we are the only school in Our State to claim with word "Mississippi".

Why would we chose a name with similarities to Ole Miss? We couldn't.

No. I would never use that term. Don't care if it is in the fight song. We are MSU, Mississippi State, State, or the Bulldogs. I will never refer to my beloved university by anything else than one of the above monikers.
