I like it too as a cheer or greeting or hashtag but its NOT the name of our school THAT is WHAT should be prominently displayed. and as I noted.. Its on a freaking endzone wide large ass sign 10 feet above it... Its simply over done and NOT NEEDED.

Why do people want to stop this. It is giving us a brand recognition. Everyone of our fans should be required to say it 10 times a day to random people for an entire year. This saying is MSU. Our Fight song is Hail Dear old State. #hailstate is probably the best pr move our AD has done in the past 40 years. Like it or not, this gets us more recognition than anything else we do other than the cowbell.

You have to understand that there are some in our fan base that still think Croom and Polk should be coaching and we shouldn't have done the stadium project. They feel that the millions should have been put to adequately improve parking for old fans.

It is not our hotty toddy. Hailstate has something to do with our university. I don't understand why/how people don't realize that hotty toddy has absolutely nothing to do with the univserity execept possible the delusional of the fans, because during their chant they actually ask themselves who the hell they are. To me this chant is the epitome of delusion and their entire fan base.

The other two phrases have something to do with each of the other universities. I hate when people look at hotty toddy as if it's related to the university. BearSharts is more relevant to the university than hotty toddy. At least they considered that for their new mascot.

Branding is very important for State. Outside of SEC territory and even some places inside it everyone knows OM and no one knows us. Hail State and cowbells can help. We share maroon and white with A&M. We share bulldogs with Georgia. We need some things that are all our own.
