I am trying to compile a list of career individual stats leaders for all SEC schools so that I can put some good, consistent tables onto Wikipedia. Wikipedia already has a few (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Missouri_Tigers_passing_leaders) sporadic (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_Michigan_Wolverines_football_statistical_ leaders) and inconsistently-organized (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Minnesota_Golden_Gophers_football_passing_ leaders) articles on a few schools with this information, but I want to do a series of SEC articles that are all formatted the same and made to the same standard.

Unfortunately this involves a lot of data gathering, so if anyone would like to pitch in, even if you just do a category or 2 for a single school, here is the link I'm working on. I've got an Excel workbook that will convert this information into Wikipedia tables.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QShWcrG1HzbV0_1ZNEZNy3aYmeTJqMCaVRxikOgbSY8/edit?usp=sharing

I realize there is some information like this available on sites like sportsreference, but it seems to go inconsistently far back. I'm looking at using media guides (Wikipedia is a stickler for valid sources these days).

Once the data is ready this will be a great resource to easily reference who the individual career leaders at each school are. I've got tabs other sports on there as well and would eventually like to expand these charts to include even more data.

I would cross-post this on the SEC Rant and other school's boards, but I'm not sure how well-received it would be at another forum for someone just to show up and say "Help me with this!" at the first ever post.

all they can do is be internet tough guys when you ask. you may find some one-offs that will help.

Engie may not have time but he knows how to find and pull and lot of quantitative data quickly. Hopefully he'll weigh in.

I think it's a cool idea. I'll enjoy seeing Tyler Rusell's name in there.

Short-term goal is to have a page like this up for other MSU sports.
Medium-term goal is to have a page like this up for the entire SEC football.
Long-term goal is to have the entire SEC in the other major sports.

A friend of mine is helping compile the Ole Miss statistical leaders for me, so that page might be up tomorrow.

Good stuff man, hope you don't mind but I edited "yards" under the categories for most touchdowns to say "TDs" instead of "yards". Pretty amazing that Wes Carroll and Mike Henig make an appearance for most yards in single game.

I'll wait for your response on if you minded before editing Rushing Touchdowns to say TDs instead of Yards, receiving touchdowns, tackles etc? they all are listed as yards. Excellent stuff King

Yes, by all means correct any mistakes you see. I'll fix my Excel template so the mistake doesn't carry over to the other teams' articles.

I don't know if I was more shocked to see Henig appearing on the page at all, but cool for him. Also surprised that Henig his own Wikipedia article.

Ok great, I edited the others from saying yards to their specific categories now too. Thanks for doing this
