Observation: Not many teams in the lower half of the top 25. Like the 18-25 range. You know, the kind that you would think you have a good chance to beat if you are not a top 10 team yourself.

He's 1-2 against teams 18-25

He's 1-4 against teams 17-25

and 0-16 against the top 12

More than half of the 24 games against ranked opponents have been to teams ranked in the top 12. Damn

So what, Mullen lost to teams that he was a severe underdog in talent and depth. Never had Dak as qb prior to last year and he wasn't even seasoned in practice yet due to the prior spring injury and fall practice as the #2.

So big fn deal. Those teams are not the team we are putting on the field this year.

Stats like this always make me laugh. It's kind of like the stat that Weasel Veazy had on our basketball team where he kept the stat of our losing streak against ranked teams on the road. Which to me is a stat that is completely meaningless because most to 90% of all teams more then likely have a losing streak against ranked teams on the road.

These type of stats can be skewed anyway you want them. If we lose to LSU and Ole Miss yet beat Auburn and Texas A&M, this stat will become what is Dan's record against Top 25 teams on the road...in other words, no matter what Dan does the goal post will always move just that much further.

I found it funny as well how many people got bent out of shape about our basketball record vs the top 25, as if they expected is to have a winning or even .500 record?

Only the few 6-8 blue bloods usually manage that. As this article says, 40% of NCAA coaches have zero wins vs a top 25 team.
