Watching Bama vs Ole Miss from last year...

Only made it through the fist half but so far a few things stand out:

The Alabama Offense last year was so uninspiring. Just boring and frankly hasn't seemed like a lot of straight forward running. Ole Miss was able to get a lot of long 3rd downs. Drake played most of the half and he doesn't look decisive at all. Ole Miss was able to get pressure but their DL is so undisciplined. Got a couple of calls for late hit, roughing the passer.

Alabama played that half so sloppy. They fumbled the ball 3 times but recovered it every time. Ole Miss got no breaks.

Ole Miss's Offensive Line was terrible. Like almost non existent.

Bo doesn't get enough credit for throwing while he scrambles. Still only managed 5 first downs. But Bama lived in their backfield. The perimeter run screen pass plays go nowhere.

Tony Conner is the best player on OM's team.

Freeze made some really stupid calls. WR pass out of first down in Bama territory. Paidwell throws an INT into double coverage. Terrible play call.

Freeze's terrible playcalling at times, is very under-rated. He has a tendency to have 2-3 brain fart calls per game. It will cost them again this year.

OM's O-Line won't be any better this year either.

Freeze was playing not to lose huge... for the most part, he achieved that... UM went for several TDs when they could have had FGs... Bammer had several FGs when hey were in position for TDs...

that being said, OM seemed really physical v bama last year... several of our guys got nicked in that game.

Wow!! We pushed them all over the place. They were one of the least physical teams we played all year. If LSU would have lined up and RTGDFB instead of just telling Met to throw it up for grabs every play, they would have dominated ole miss.

Hold on, what? "Freeze was playing not to lose huge" and "went for several TD's when they could have had FG's"? I'll jump in on the Freeze bashing as quick as anybody, but that series of comments may make less sense than anything I've read on this board. As the OP said, it was Freeze's unwillingness to "take the points" (which would have made the game closer) that helped in the ultimate 25-0 score. Freeze's dumbassedness in that game was NOT taking the points and trying to go balls out to win, when it turned out he may have been in the thick of it late with FG's in the first half.
