Hopefully they've saved their best baseball for the right time for a change.

The Nats are also hot, so the east is unlikely. Since I don't think we can catch the Nats, I'm hoping the Nats get the best record in nl. Then if we win wildcard, we'd get the Nats in first round.

Not anymore. Pittsburgh played St. Louis last year after winning wildcard

They are who they are...streaky. They may win 8 of 10 or 12 of 15 then turn around and loose 4 straight.

I would love to see them get red hot and get into the mix even more but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Can't really disagree with this. When we're hot, we can roll off 10 in a row. But when we go cold, we'll lose 13/15. That's what happens when you load up on RH "power" hitters who all strike out at record rates. Plus, we're overly reliant on the long ball, which isn't really a formula for success when you play 1/2 your games at The Ted.
