I still have to pinch myself when I see this. It's everything we've been hoping for and then some.

The thing about Dudy-Noble in the past was it was more of a "southern/SEC" thing. People in California had no idea what we had. But now with college baseball being televised more and more and with the SEC Network launching, our exposure for baseball is going to reach everywhere. And now we have the updated version of Carnegie Hall.

It's just all really incredible.

We can tell top prospects- "Hey, you can play at General Custer Field in North Dakota in front of 300 people or you can come play here and then get to AA quick like Renfroe and Lindgren and pretty much skip all of that."

Looking at you Greg Pickett.

Do we know if they'll be selling bricks like they did for the football expansion?

"The Carnegie Hall of college ball."

I like it. I now proclaim that "the dude" has a 2nd nickname.

Had that since about June of 2008... Cohen used it in his introductory press conference when defining why he spurned the richest college baseball contract ever conceived along with a brand new stadium written in @ UK to come back to our dumpster fire. Heard it used a good bit since then...

I think Grisham started that in his description of Dudy Noble.

it'll be used by more than State fans now. I've heard it before too, but to me, this makes it legit.

It's amazing and damn near perfect IMO. Only small things I'd ad -- which are possibly already planned honestly. Designate these two as real, common "party areas" like OM has in their outfield. This way you don't force the real party aspect in with people actually there 100% to watch the game -- as they've got the berms and SRO everywhere else...

Out of all the pictures that they released, this one is probably my favorite:

To me, the Lofts give DNF a major league feel in this picture- in fact, I can think of a handful of MLB stadiums just off the top of my head that the new Dude will be nicer than. I love how other stadiums around the SEC are said to have a "minor league" feel, but DNF legitimately does look like a scaled down MLB stadium while still retaining the treasured aspects of old DNF.

Just consider it the Big Dude, because compared to other college baseball stadiums, it it the big dude on the block.

I wonder what it will actually look like when it's done. Remember the original renders for our stadium expansion....
