Ole Miss learned from (I think it was Himler)......if you repeat a lie enough, it becomes the truth. Bama learned this also. OM has never won a National Championship in football and Bama's claim to 15 or 16 or whatever it is is bogus as hell.

As for our wonderful OM poster, would you care to name the years of your mythical NC's? Also, who, besides yourselves, proclaimed you NC.

1959, 1960, and 1962. I never proclaimed us NC. It was a joke. I was making fun of us.

I believe it was Goebbels that was the Minister of Propaganda. Himler was in charge of the SS.

Not sure if they even gave out trophies back then.

Ha I guess, like you I dont know what they gave out back then or how they deemed a team national champions. By record? did Ole Miss play in a national championship game back then or did the just have the best overall record?

Thanks for the correction, Todd. As for the NC's, I was at MSU in 1962 and I have no memory of OM being declared the NC unless it was by Ladies Home Journal or Southern Liviing magazines. No reputable source declared them NC. This "invention" has taken place in the last 20 years. If all it takes is to create a banner declaring your claim, Bama will claim another 15 or so.

In his autobiography, "Rebel Coach", John Vaught only claimed the dubious 1960 season for a National Title. Only the purveyors of the Lost Cause can claim National Championships that their own coach had no knowledge of.

Back then there was not a championship game I think. The champion was based on your ranking.

Ole Miss has never been ranked as champion in any reputable poll. Dunkel index and Likenhous index do not count except in fantasyland. As for the FWAA, I read FWAA information that stated there were a whopping six voters for the FWAA in 1960.

How about this? "The American Council of Football has named Mississippi State to 12 national football championships!"
****The SEVEN voters for the ACF are Coach34, Todd, Will James, M.Fillmore, Flab Looser, Croom Diaries, and AROB44"

Okay! Now Ole Miss has three National Titles and Mississippi State has an even dozen National Titles.
