If it weren't for my electricity to go out, I would have seen more of it. Elih Marrero is a great receiver. He caught several breaking balls cleanly. His throws to 2B were off but I think he was overthrowing. Austin Riley threw 1 inning to Marrero. Riley threw "slower" so he did give up two hits and a run. I mean the pitchers before him were 95, he was throwing in the low 90's. I didn't get to see Greg Pickett hit but he has on multiple occasions shown is offensive prowess. It was terrific to see 3 commits with Miss State as the college. We will have more like them in this game in the future.

Per twitter, Riley was topping out at 93. I've seen him hit 94.

It would be even more terrific to see all three at MSU.

Riley will also compete in the UA All-American Game on Aug. 16. I'm surprised that Pickett won't be there.

I saw Merrero pop one up to the LF. Seems to have a good bat after watching just one at-bat. Love havig guys with MLB pedigrees be part of the program. Having his dad around alone is a program builder.

Pickett struck out swinging in his first AB. Watched first 4 innings then DVRed rest. The talent in that game was absolutely sick, especially on the mound.

It's just huge to have three different commits play in that game- and we have a couple more who are at, or at least very close to that nationally elite level as well. With all the pitching talent that was at that game, I'd (selfishly) love to have some scouts sleep on Ford, Padgett, Pilkington, etc.

The amount of pitching we have committed for 2015-2017 is very impressive- particularly the LHPs.

We are on two pitchers for the 2016 class that are ranked in the top 100 (PG). One is from Kansas, the other I think is from Missouri.

There are a lot of good baseball players up there. Baseball is pretty big in that area and St. Louis has produced some good MLB talent- like Ryan Howard, David Freese, Mark Buerhle, and Evan Button.

Tyler Benninghoff from Kansas and Easton Mcgee from Kentucky. Last I looked both were the top pitcher in their state. Tyler is 6-4, Easton is 6-6 (and I believe Easton has already visited). We already have 3 pitchers commit who are 6-4. The 2015 class is stout but 2016 is just getting started. Great times ahead.
